Stanford Class of 2022 Discussion/Decisions

No matter what happens, we will all be successful and have a great time and experience in college. To many of us, myself include, Stanford has been a dream for us for many years. In 2 days, we will know our fate. Good luck to everybody!

@WillowWitch Shanghai here :slight_smile:

Do we think it will be 7 pm (eastern) sharp or like some schools that started coming out randomly after the time

I think decisions will be out at 7 pm sharp @dreamergirl2022

:-SS MOOD lmao

omG mE TOO and now i’m here like pls have mercy

Who else is checking their portal constantly even though we all know when the results are coming out?

I’m probably going to cry on Friday, regardless of the result lol

i literally just found out yesterday decision were the 8th from a friend, and now I’m so unprepared

I knowww, idk whether to be happy or scared that decisions are so soon

@michmeallee omg why did I just relate to that so hard…

I think I’m becoming paranoid.

hey guys so I really wanted to go to stanford but a bunch of bad things in my life happened around application time…so I did my application REALLY last minute and I noticed so many mistakes in it. Do you think I still have a chance of getting in ?

@zancarelipy You’ll find out soon enough.

My friends who have already graduated said that you should not look at the application after you submit it, it is just going to make you worry more. So for now, just don’t think about it until Friday (although I can admit I am freaking out). I say for now we should hope for the best news but expect the worst.

@person2000 good advice

Hey guys if you could all post ur results, accepted or rejected, in the results thread that’d be a huge help for future applicant pools. It really clarified a lot for me personally and I think we owe it to the future applicants.

5% chance everyone…pray hard. Really in God’s hands.

to be honest, imo looking at other applicants’ information in that sense (quantitative and hardly based on what kind of person you think you are or what you revealed about yourself in the whole application) will make future applicants more anxious that they won’t get in because their stats aren’t as good or give those that have good stats false hope that they are a shoo in for acceptance. I didn’t look at other people’s applicants a lot, and if I did I took it with a grain of salt because I’ve realized that we’re all so different from our conditions to our life stories. Some people may agree with me on this: I think the essays really make an impression on the counselor reviewing your application and through them you can tell the admissions counselor who you really are. maybe some tips on which essays worked for you or what you wrote about would be helpful. not saying that I won’t post results or that I’m absolutely confident in any way of my entire application, but i think this type of breaking it down into what sat scores and courses/ec you did can make others doubt themselves. after my application was done I really just took it slow and I can’t believe more than a month had passed. I’m not sure how much our posting of our quantitative results will help future applicants, but I think if we give them a detailed summary through our process of applying or what we thought was important like the last part of the results thread questions it might be more beneficial. I don’t want future applicants to think that applying for a college is matching their standards and purely toiling work because the application process for me was stressful but helped me a lot in realizing why I loved stanford and what I value in life, even if I don’t get in I’m proud of the essays I wrote and of what I portrayed myself as. anyways, just a late night rambling thought
