Stanford Class of 2022 Discussion/Decisions

@me2hide New Hampshire

@planner03 I got that email too, but it came after a likely letter and an email from an admission officer. Maybe you should check with your admission officer :slight_smile:

I called the Office of Admission and was told all AOs were busy indefinitely and that I would need to email the sender. I asked if it was an error and the response was “I don’t want to mislead you.” Okay then.

@cnlrfp Congrats! Well, if there was supposed to be a likely letter(unlikely) it was poorly executed. If there has been no admission, well, even more poorly executed!

@planner03 Oh no! This gives more anxiety than not getting an email at all…
Hope it gets sorted out soon. Good luck.

Whoa this thread can give you loads of anxiety

So guys there are already more than 10 people on this dicsussion alone who got likely or travel emails from Stanford.
Are they giving out a TON more early admissions this year? If ten people only on this specific discussion already got these emails, then are they sending like 150 this year??

@grundeis How many likelies do they usually send out?? I’m just curious

No one knows.
Is it possible that they sent out that “TRAVEL GRANT” email to all people who got accepted not just early but accepted in general???

To clarify for everyone, S did receive his late early acceptance today. (They are not calling them likely letters, but early acceptances.) I received a follow up to my email about the travel grant email and was told it was supposed to have been sent after the acceptance letter but that there was a “processing delay” that disrupted the order that the emails arrived.

CONGRATS @planner03! Would love to hear your kiddos stats??

@planner03 Congratulations!

This sucks. Didn’t receive a letter. Is the letter for all RD admits? Not receiving one means not getting in??

@Hephaestion nope, doesn’t mean that you didn’t. They send them out to kind of entice people to go there that they think will get into a lot of real nice schools

@OtterOverlord So they have reviewed all applications at this time already?!

@Hephaestion I’m not sure anybody really knows that… they might just see one and be like “yea he/she is getting in no matter who the other applicants are”, that’d be my best guess

Okay but, what’s that travel grant thing?

@chocolochitos Along with the early admission letter was a travel grant offer of $500 to visit during admitted student days.

@planner03 That’s so exciting. Congratulations!

No early letter or interview. Still optimistic about March 30!

For international students applying for aid, did all of you get an email with a CSS fee waiver ID and a request for the International Student Certification of Finances? (I asked this question earlier but it was in early February so not everyone might have received the email at that time).
