is the consensus that decisions will be released 3/31 or 4/1? will they send out an email at any point or keep us in suspense?
I live in a major metrocity in India. However, my interviewer was from the bay area and he said he had a house in NorCal. However, he is from my country originally, and has multiple companies here (one of them seems to be in my city). Is this a good sign? Or was he just assigned to me because he has a company in my city?
Assigned because he has familiarity with your city. Donāt read anything more into it.

Does having an Uncle that is a stanford business school alumn an important factor?
I know one guy who is in this situation.
Does financial aid request as international student impact the application negatively?
yes
If we can afford can we say we donāt need financial aid anymore? Will that help this late in application?
Probably not this late. While the application has room to list all family connections to Stanford, the most important factor for legacy consideration is reserved for children of alumni, both undergrad and grad. Per Stanfordās post (Admissions considerations for children of alumni or donors - Office of the Provost), āIn the undergraduate Class of 2023, which was admitted for Fall 2019 entrance, 16.2% of the enrolling class (302 admitted students and 276 matriculating students) were the children of Stanford graduates.ā
No not at all! Universities like Stanford and the Ivy League do not consider financial aid to affect your application. Plus Stanford has recently announced that families earning less than 100,000K a year will pay no tuition, room and board fees.
Stanford is need aware for internationals and only 30% internationals receive aid. Simply applying for aid as an international hurts your chances and reduces it by 3 to 5 times
International applicants
Sadly, Stanford is not need-blind for international students, and international students who indicated they didnāt need aid at first cannot re-apply during the four years (since I had a harsh conversation with Stanford financial aid office recently) ā¦ TBH, I donāt know anyone who got into Stanford with aid in my countryā¦
