maybe not exactly USAMO, but say, I got the same thing but with the French math olympiads, and applicants come from all over the planet for Stanford
I agree with James . Even if there are ppl from across the world with simmilar stats, they’re not getting in. He should get at least an Ivy, Stanford, mit, T20. He’s got a point.
how does your acceptance letter go? wonder if it’s the same for everyone…
Rejected.
Final results:
Accepted Notre Dame, Harvard, Duke
Rejected: Yale,Stanford, UNC
WL: Princeton, Northwestern
"Congratulations! You have been admitted to the Stanford Class of 2027!
Everyone who reviewed your application was inspired by your passion, determination, accomplishments, and heart. We acknowledge and celebrate all you have worked for with the good news this letter brings.
You are, quite simply, a fantastic match with Stanford. You will bring something original and extraordinary to our campus–a place where you can learn, grow, and thrive.
At Stanford, you join a diverse, joyful, and welcoming campus community with a shared determination to make our world better. Indeed, Leland and Jane Stanford founded the University “to promote the public welfare by exercising an influence on behalf of humanity and civilization.” That influence begins with an academic community committed to mastering the known and developing an intuitive capacity to imagine the unknown.
We are excited to share more about Stanford with you. From April 8 to April 23, Stanford alumni are hosting admitted student receptions around the world. We also invite you to join us on campus for Admit Weekend 2023, April 28–29. Be on the lookout for an email invitation to join Cardinal Quad, where you can register for events, connect with your future classmates, and learn more about the Stanford community. Waitlisted. What are the odds of getting off?
what tells you he didn’t get such a school?
Some amazing stats here - both the people who were accepted/rejected! That discipline and hard work will continue to pay off for all!
Also, has anybody received a FA offer? Do they release it later in the week?
Deciding between Yale and UT right now! Leaning towards UT but primarily because I haven’t researched Yale - never thought I’d actually get in, frantically researching right now
Last year’s waitlist stats 2022:
Qualified applicants offered the waitlist: 553
Number of applicants accepting waitlist: 457
Number admitted: 8
So 1.75% last year. Much lower than REA/RD acceptance rates.
I am sorry but this is not true for all the years. I read this in some other site.
There were 652 applicants to Stanford’s class of 2025 who were placed on the waitlist. Of those applicants, 535 accepted a spot on the waitlist, and 61 were admitted, resulting in an 11.6% in the Stanford waitlist acceptance rate. This rate is higher than the acceptance rates at many other prestigious universities in the country.
So it varies from year to year.
I agree it varies from year to year. I only posted last year’s stats so I assume you were responding to someone else’s post since I did not give any odds
Yes, Sorry about that. You are right!, you did not give any odds
Does anyone know the acceptance rate for this year?
How are you supposed to get off the waitlist? Please help
There is another thread stated called Stanford waitlist 2027. Please joing there, and we are hoping someone who got off the waitlist in the years before us, can guide
