anyone? also, do you think my list is balanced enough or too heavy on reach/super reach schools?

bumppp... i'll chance you if you chance me!

im applying Stanford EA and you'd kick my ass in admissions. I think you've got a good shot.

Yeah, looking good for EA at Stanford. I would say you have a 40% chance, which is pretty high because Stanford is so difficult to predict. As for the others:

University of Washington- In
University of Maryland – College Park- In
Carnegie Mellon- In
Northwestern- Match (probably in)
UC-Berkeley- Mediumish reach if OOS, Match if in-state
Cornell- Medium Reach
University of Chicago- Medium Reach (depends on the essays, but I think you will get in here if your essays are quirky and well written)
Harvard- Reach (But it is for everyone :))
Brown- Medium Reach (but higher than Cornell and UCB)
Princeton- Reach (same story as Harvard)
Washington U. St. Louis- Match

Chance me? <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/562816-sarah-palin-doesn-t-stand-chance-do-i.html#post1060962487%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/562816-sarah-palin-doesn-t-stand-chance-do-i.html#post1060962487</a></p>

Great chances everywhere.

Thanks ;)
10char

firefly116: One of your strengths, I think, is your ability to come off as a real, genuine person despite your superpowered stats. Channel that into some awesome essays and you're great to go!

^ wow I second that, that's exactly what I thought when I read your list. From 5 feet away it looks like another typical laundry list applicant, but I have to say I'm impressed.

I'd say you'll get in to Stanford if you show your passion in your essays.

In everywhere =) Have fun at Stanford!

Thanks for the help everyone! Also, do you think that my list is balanced enough or should i maybe add a few low match/safeties?

I'm fairly certain you're a URM. I think you have to be at least 1/8 or 1/16 to be considered as such.

Your scores are great, you had a solid list of EC's. You have as much of a chance as anyone. I think your college list is decent - you'll get in at the majority of your schools. Also, have you considered applying to MIT/Caltech? You seem pretty interested in math/sci and there are no better places than those two if that's your interest.

Great chances at all your schools!

wow... good chances... haha i feel really dumb now

Wow!!! Awesome application, I think you will get in just about everywhere. One of the best applications that I have ever seen. By the way, I don't think your list of schools is too high on reach schools.

<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/606674-please-chance-me.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/606674-please-chance-me.html</a></p>

Wow this is a seriously impressive profile. Colleges look for geographical diversity as well as racial diversity. I don't know how many people from Oregon apply to east coast schools but I'm guessing you'll have a really good shot at those. As for Stanford, geographics might not help you out, but you have an incredible profile and will likely be a sought after candidate. Chance me?

Wonderful application! I applied Stanford EA as well, but I feel like you've got a better chance than me =) Best of luck!

Your GPA/SAT's are pretty awesome, right in-line with HYPS. Extracurriculars are great, and awards are great as well. Although you may not be the best applicant I've ever seen, you're right up there. You are definitely in the highest tier of applicants, and I'm confident you will get into at least one of Stanford/Harvard/Princeton

Stanford (SCEA) - slight reach/match
Carnegie Mellon - match
Northwestern - match
UC-Berkeley - match/safety
Cornell - match
University of Chicago - match
Harvard - slight reach/match
Brown - match
Princeton - slight reach/match
Washington U. St. Louis - match

wow...probably in everywhere! i can tell you worked hard, kudos to you.

will you chance me back? you seem to have this stuff down, i need advice haha.
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/609481-please-help-out-worried-junior-i-ll-chance-you-if-you-want.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/609481-please-help-out-worried-junior-i-ll-chance-you-if-you-want.html</a></p>

In everywhere!!!

Ah crap...this is my competition???

Well, I would have to say that you have a pretty decent shot! I haven't read your essays to see what persona you've established beyond your credentials, but it seems like you should be a pretty good candidate. My cousin (three years ago?) made it into Stanford and MIT with about similar stats. She had killer essays, 5s on all APs, same SAT scores, and about the same involvement. But then again, she came from an income range below middle class (family income=<$60k) so the economic disadvantage may have played a role.

Good luck! Nervous for these next 10 days?
