<p>I don't know all that much about college acceptance statistics, especially not Stanford's, but I think that with your emphasis on orchestra (even if Stanford's not a big musical school) you have a very good shot. Colleges are always looking for people with a passion, right? Besides, your course load, SAT scores, and AP scores already say a lot for you. I think your stats do a good job of showing that you're more than just an average genius nerd. Is that an oxymoron?</p>
<p>As for the essay, I wonder how much typos really do count. If they were really liking you before they got to the typo, does that kill everything? I hope not. :-(</p>
<p>I don't know that 680 in Writing is probably going to make or break you since Stanford just recently decided to place a lot of emphasis on the writing section.</p>
