Essays:
Long essay was excellent, as far as I can tell.
Short essays were good but perhaps not great.

Let me know if there's any other information you might like to know.

Specific awards?

I'd say you seem like you have a pretty good chance. Rank given?

good SAT scores, might wanna tell us ur rank. ECs are alright. Stanford=reach

Very good chance.

yea stats are better than most applicants, i'd say 30-40% chance.

Actually I wouldn't say that. Stanford is pretty harsh and rejects a lot.

with a 2400 and good ECs, he has a very legit chance, more than other ppl

True, but I think Stanford looks at ECs a lot as well as awards.

only tech schools stress on awards, awards might help, but it doesnt dictate the bulk of his app

Yes, but his ECs I wouldn't say are absolutely amazing compared to others. Also knowing which type of awards would help.

true, its not amazing ECs, but he has a unique one and shows passion in debate. however, that 2400 carries the bulk, schools want their SAT avg up, and these kind of applicants will help. hes not a shoo-in but he has a decent chance compared to the majority of applicants, i still stick to my ~30% chance

Does Stanford emphasize on SATs a lot? I know it helps but I'm not sure how much it'll affect his chances from reach --> moderate reach or whatever.

every school likes 2400s. it boosts up the avg, its not a shoo-in but it carries a huge bulk, along with the gpa/rank, so if he tells us rank, we can give a better estimate. but assuming rank is top 5 or top 10, he has a very legit chance

My school does not rank. I'm probably 10-30% in it though.

The debate awards include first place at local tournaments through octafinals at national tournaments.

I attend an extremely competitive public magnet school (TJHSST).

I dunno. Remember Stanford is a strict one. So far everyone I've known save like 1 who's applied to Stanford has gotten rejected at the end.

Hm. What class size?

Good job on debate and that should also help you out.

ooooo, ok i change my opinion. 10%-30% is not looking good. as for extremely competitive public magnet school, dont go there. my school is much more competitive, with senior class of 800+ and valedictorians with 7.0+ weighted gpa. so if u can get top 10 RANK, not %, u have a very good shot. otherwise, pray

Well it depends, that's why I asked for class size.

unless he has a class size of like...50.....10-30% is not looking good

Well he was estimating. His class size I doubt is like 800+, and from rank he doesn't seem to have a good chance, but you never know. Any AA help?
