WGPA: 4.3 <a href="school%20only%20weighs%20AP/IB's">projected 4.75 if all A's senior year</a>
GPA: 3.8ish
SAT: CR 730, W 720, M 750 [no test prep course or tutoring!]
SAT II's in physics, literature, math II and possibly biology M</p>

<p>Enrolled in magnet program for history, english and the arts freshman year, but moved due to financial troubles and currently attend low-performing rural school.
2 AP's, US gov. and English Lang, sophmore year but scored three's [anxiety attacks . . .]
1 AP, environmental, junior year: 5 and 6 IB courses, 4 HL's [certificate candidate]
AP Scholar as of now - - - determined to be AP Scholar with Distinction!
Senior year schedule: AP chemistry, AP computer science AB, AP calculus BC, IB English HL, IB History of Europe HL, IB Biology HL and independently studying AP Physics C </p>

<p>EC's : SGA executive board appointed member, organized successful community wide canned food & childrens' book drive, 375+ hours of community service, it's academic, ocean bowl, envirothon, certified HIV/AIDS peer educator [presentations/partnerships in south africa, brookyln, and DC], president of county-wide organization to raise awareness about high rate of teen pregnancy, abstinence and contraception, creative writer! [submitting portfolio to Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards], theater entusiast [lackluster school program --- community program involvement senior year instead], would be newspaper contributor yet school lacks one! sigh. :] </p>

<p>Other: HOBY ambassador, full scholarship [flight, room & board] to leadership program in london, selected for girls state but spontaneously caught flu, National Merit Commended, most likely National Achievement Semifinalist, recognized for HIV work, national honors society? haha</p>

<p>Tentative Major: Biomedical Engineering, but also considering Civil & Environmental, Chemical
Minor/Double Major: English, Philosophy</p>

<p>Absolutely love Stanford and so, I'll apply early! I feel like if it doesn't happen then at least I'll know early and have some time to withdraw. I love Duke and Yale [wouldn't major in engineering if I attend] as well. Please give me some perspective!</p>

you have to figure out what your hook is
your URM stactus will help a lot!
You have an above average chance to get into all these schools, but they’re all reaches, for everyone!
your GPA is a little bit low compared to others, but remember, thats not everything!
Just keep it up and score well on your subjects</p>

<p>thanks! Yeah, the GPA may be a problem and frustratingly enough the four B’s that I’ve recieved were 88’s or 89’s. Sigh.</p>

<p>O yeah, and in terms of rank, I’m definietly somewhere in the top 5%, but not exactly sure where because school hasn’t disclosed.</p>

<p>sweet: I found out that Stanford only uses sophmore & junior for calculated GPA. WGPA for me would then be a 4.5ish easily!</p>
