I volunteer at my local hospital once a week. I have been doing so for the past year.

I am HISPANIC. (How much of a factor is this?)

I am a mentor for disadvantaged youth and established a Boy's Reading Club in which youth with low standardized test scores meet and discuss books which they like once a week.

This year, I was an intern for a congressman in his local office.

I know my GPA is quite low in comparison to the competition who is applying to the same schools...how much do you think this will be a factor for me?

Excellent Recomendations

Excellent Essays

Stanford is too competitive & unpredictable to predict. Otherwise, your chances are very good for Georgetown & JHU. Columbia is also tough to predict due to a very low acceptance rate. But, you are certainly well qualified for all four schools.

You and I have almost the same unweighted and weighted gpa xD

And your gpa is not at all low in comparison to anyone.

Since you are URM, have excellent academics, and good scores, I'd say you have good chances everywhere.

Hopkins (ED) - Match
Georgetown - Match

Stanford and Columbia are crapshoots for everyone. But you are competitive at those schools as well.

Almost the same gpa as in...mine is higher??? Or yours is higher???

Based on what I've read here, you seem like you have a pretty damn good shot. But don't you think you should actually take a couple classes at college before deciding on your minor?

My unweighted is a bit higher than yours (3.833) and my weighted is 4.5 like yours.

Again, you have excellent chances, you have more APs than I do. 6 APs in junior year is pretty insane. And the fact that you are a URM really boosts your chances at those schools.

damn i wish my SAT skills were that impressive :(
