Does applying early action to stanford increase one’s chance of admission?
Statistically, it might seem that way because of the early admissions rate, but the pool is smaller and filled with mostly the strongest candidates. If you are a weak candidate, applying early will not help you.
Also, most of the SCEA applicants got rejected. Not many are deferred. That means if you have room to improve your application, you probably should not apply SCEA at Stanford or you have no chance to improve it.
Just apply if it’s really your first choice. It not, don’t.
One plus is that the door shuts early so you can plan on attending your more viable schools.
