Stanford, Emory, Brandeis, Davidson

What are my chances at these schools?
I know Stanford is a high reach, but please let me know about the other three.

White male.
Senior in high school.
4.0 UW GPA. School offers only a handful of honors and 1 AP. I have taken all offered by school. Nearly 30 college credits from dual enrollment, all As.

SAT- 710R/670M/800W (2180 aggregate)

Strong ec's in my opinion.
-Started own business, netting thousands all online
-school counselor
-key club treasurer
-soccer captain senior year (only a few games, but who says I have to specify)
-JV bball starter grades 9-10
-300+ hours community service, most as teacher's aide
-NHS
-intramural captain (idk if this is worth citing? sounds kind of good)
-superior in sophomore speech competition

Above average recommendations. I know my counselor listed me as "best few students I have ever encountered."
Undecided with my major. Have my common app completed, but have yet to start on supplements for any of these 4 schools. One month left!

Brandeis, Emory, and Davidson- if you show your interest, I doubt you wouldn’t be accepted (knowing others who were accepted)

Stanford- seems unlikely because your SAT’s are a bit low (only for the ivies and stanford/duke/uchicago/georgetown). You might apply to see what happens. You never know!

What do u mean his sat is too low hes in the top 75% at Stanford so stop overdoing sat’s remember that admissions officers look for a person not a number.

I know my SAT’s are weak for Stanford… My math should be at 700 to make me a better applicant, but I figured depending on how I use my business in my application, I have a small shot. Maybe 10% ? haha. I love Brandeis’ location, I love everything I’ve heard from students at Emory, and I love Davidson’s coupling of academics with sports at such a small school, not to mention Davidson’s tremendous financial aid support.

Thanks to both of you for your kind comments. They are very encouraging. If anybody else could offer positive or harsh feedback, I am certainly open. I know all these schools are difficult to be accepted into. My state school is UMD, which I applied to early action so I have that as a top option as well.

I’d definitely say you’re in at Davidson, but I’m not 100% sure of other schools. I come from a similar school and I know people who have been accepted (with fewer EC’s than you, might I add). Don’t worry about the SAT scores. A 2180 is pretty good. People on CC like to say anything under a 2250 sucks, when really people are getting into Ivy Leagues with 670’s and less on some sections. A 2250 does give you an edge, though.

I live a little outside of Davidson, but Davidson itself is gorgeous. NC is a pretty nice state if you forgive the weather. :)

Yeah, I’ve been to NC a few times before. I went vacationing in the Outer Banks last year
I’m really hoping for at least two acceptances from these 4 schools. Emory and Stanford are the two most difficult to get into, so I won’t be surprised if I’m waitlisted and/or rejected at them. I’m going to try to get Brandeis, Davidson, and Emory applications in and paid for very soon; that way I will have at least a week to spend solely on Stanford’s supposedly comprehensive supplement. Might as well put all I can into my dream…
