Stanford Engineering

Does anyone know the admit rate or the admit rate for women?
Is it really hard to get into?
What percentage of undergrads there are majoring in engineering?
If you are doing engineering at Stanford...
what do you like about it?
What opportunities do you get?
How hard is it?
Are you still able to take alot of liberal arts classes?
What would be the best focus for business?

Any other information is appreciated! :)

There is no specific admit rate for "Stanford Engineering" as everyone applies "Undeclared" (essentially) to Stanford, not to a specific department. Even if you apply as an engineer, you are competing with potential English or Econ majors for a spot in the class. Therefore it isnt any harder to get into (theoretically, although there may be undisclosed quotas) than if applying with other interests.

Thanks! Do people put their prospective major down when they apply?

They ask for 3 choices of major on the app...but apparently its just for "statistical purposes"...or so they say.....

Thanks! Maybe that will make me a minority...lol...being a girl in engineering and all:)
