Stanford envelopes and notification

I received this e-mail from the admissions office:

The decision letters will be mailed in a couple of weeks. If you have not received your letter by December 17, you may call our office (650) 725-5294 and request the decision on the phone.
In case of admission, the decision letter will be enclosed in an admission packet.

Good luck,
The Stanford University Office of Undergraduate Admission

so it will definately be a thick envelope for admits. now we know. but then again, i heard that one year this girl was flipping because she had a big envelope and thne opened it and found out she was deferresd and there were some forms she had to fill out. sad!

argh! I didn't get that email. Does that meant that I'm not on their mailing list?

vaish - jellybean actually EMAILEd the stanford admissions officer and asked them. right?

oh, I don't know. I didn't think of that-you're probably right thanks-what would we do when we were freaking out, if we couldn't come post here? wow my friends would have been so sick of me talking about Stanford! I'm glad we have this support system. lol

Yeah, don't worry. I e-mailed the admissions office. I'm not on some special notification list. Unfortunately.

hahaha i got excited for you there!!

lol--yeah, i'm definitely glad we have this support system too :D

group hug

I bet you will be able to call earlier and ask. Its driving me crazy not really knowing when we will find out. Its impossible to count down!

i know, totally....that's why we have to pay attention to the ppl who take turns calling the admissions office over the next week or two...

countdown to december 17th. Thats the latest youll get the admission decision anyways. But if you get it earlier, then yay!

so...um...12 days and counting...

well, i got in regular last year and the evelope says congratulations on the outside of it if it's the same for SCEA as it is for RA.

did you matriculate?

hehe, matriculate sounds like it should be a dirty word.
^^this is how weird I get, when I'm stressing continuously

thats like the ad that says "things that sound dirty but aren't: pupu platter, masticate, uranus..." and it goes on. but yeah, things that end in cate usually sound pretty dirty lol.

Just so you know, matriculating does not make you go blind.

huh? what does matriculating have to do with blindness?

its not something that can give you some dreaded disease, is what i think they were saying.
