Hi, I’m not sure if this is the right location, so please feel free to move it if its not.
I’m currently a junior taking BC Calc which is the highest math course offered at my school, so for next year I need a place to take multivariate and differential equations (or possibly linear algebra depending) online. Stanford offered several programs namely their EPGY and precollegiate advanced math and physics which looked interesting as well as Johns Hopkin’s CTY. If anyone has had experience with either of these programs I’d love to hear from you.
I would also really like to take calculus based physics courses (ap physics Cs or first year college physics) and I believe both of the above offer suitable courses. Just for reference I took alg II last year and self-studied precalc in August so faster pacing or little teacher interaction wouldn’t be a deal breaker.
Would most selective colleges allow me to take a placement exam in order to skip those introductory courses as a physics major or would I have to redo them? Also, would having advanced math and physics help me with admissions or not too much?
Thanks in advance,
Centurion
