<p>I got the e-mail today in the middle of an AP test (I didn’t check it till after, don’t worry. 
)</p>
<p>“We may be taking a very small number of students off our wait list and offering them admission to the Stanford Class of 2013. I know you accepted a space on our wait list in April, but I am writing again to gauge your interest. You are among the very few we have an interest in considering at this point, and while I can offer no guarantees, I would like to re-present your case to the admission committee. Can you let me know ASAP if your interest is still there?”</p>
<p>so my counselor (who’s as excited as I am) called and talked to my regional rep and she said she’d be presenting my case on tuesday to the committee! :)</p>
<p>so i’m assuming they’ll notify late next week perhaps…?</p>

<p>So up to now it seems like only those who didn’t receive the “Interest” email before the first round are receiving it. But where does it leave those of us who received it before but didn’t get in? Ah this is baffling.</p>

<p>^no i just got an update about the 85 that were accepted off the waitlist{the generic extended wl}, and that my application may still be considered… uggh something about knowing by late may</p>
<p>Is Stanford’s waitlist need-blind? because if it’s not, i might as well give up right now. My family’s efc is literally 0 and they’ll prob just take the kids who can afford to pay full ride.</p>
<p>anddd so far all we really know is that admissions is going through applicants again this week and will release decisions sometime soon. aghhh. 0_o</p>
<p>waitlist admission is still needblind, and waitlisters are given the same financial aid as RD.</p>

<p>So today is the earliest day they could notify us… and friday is latest, assuming they keep their pledge of “notifying by late May.”</p>
