Stanford GeneCamp 2017

Anybody apply and get notified of their approval?

I applied but no response yet.@theancientmemur did u get a notification?

No response yet; they did say that they would reach out to the teachers of the qualified students, but I have not asked my teacher anything about this.

buMp

I’ve applied too, but haven’t heard anything back. I do have a friend (who is now a senior) who was accepted two years ago. He said that he didn’t think it was too competitive, but that he wasn’t sure how the program has changed. I mean he didn’t have a 4.0 or many extra circulars when he was accepted so I don’t know what the acceptance criteria are. Anyone else here anything?

nope still waiting

Same here, nothing yet, I guess it’ll come out tommorow?

I am pretty sure that the results are coming out tomorrow…so no one got any notifications cuz it says that they will notify “by” the 15th…

I hope they notified the teachers in stead of students for letters of rec cuz if they ask students then I am def rejected…ugh

But anyway good luck guys, for tomorrow!

Anyone gotten anything yet?

I’d expect the email to come sometime before 12 or after 3

Just a random estimate lol?

No, you see, whenever I’ve exchanged emails about the camp the replies have been in that time period or later at night. Although, that isn’t to say that something might be different this time.

Lol has anyone gotten an email yet?

no

Yeah I haven’t either.

Yeah same…wait there isn’t any rejection email right? I mean at least some email…ugh

I know right, if I just got a rejection email I could just move on, but I have to wait until the end of today. Also, the acceptance rate is like 3.5% so we probably shouldn’t get our hopes up.

Ugh I hate waiting though I am pretty sure it’s a rejection now…

Wait what where the stats of that senior who got in 2 yrs ago?

has anyone tried emailing them?

They weren’t bad, but I think he was in sophomore year and got all As except for a B in AP 1. He also took APCS and Pre-calc that year if I recall.
