bump will someone please chance me? thank you so much!

You may need leadership/community service more

You have good chances; everything looks solid.

chance threads not an accurate indication. you are qualified but so are 5,000 other people who won’t get in. what you need/want to know nobody can tell you here. just for the record, how did you manage an A- in a yearbook class?

My honest opinion is that nobody can tell you – while they are not random, in that they will have reasons for doing what they do, Stanford is not predictable, end of story; you’re obviously a good student from the sounds of it, and you have a bright future, but you’re in the box with several other “good shot” candidates – what you can do to better your chances is write a good essay.

Your stats are good, and yes we can’t give you a chance at all, but I would say that you do have a down side. You started your APs a little too late (as in you started emphasizing on AP classes a little too late, you took only 2 your junior year and then 5 your senior year). I mean yes you have a vigorous senior year, but Stanford and all other top colleges look at your junior year as emphasize, because they know that they are not going to see your Senior grades until January and that there is not final grade. They like to see a rigorous schedule during your sophomore and junior years of school. (of course this isn’t always true). At my school, majority of students started taking APs sophomore year and by junior years, most of the students take 4-5 APs out of their 7 classes.

ah but i go to a small school so those 2 were the only ones that were available to me!

Don’t worry about it, schools take into account what APs were available to you when looking over your resume. I would also say you have a decent shot, though again, it’s impossible to be conclusive. At this point, all I can suggest is that you write some amazing essays and hope for a really good interview, because your grades will not be the deciding factor. Good Luck!

Then again, if you took the hardest courses available at school, then don’t worry about it.

Okay seriously, for all those who say “chance me”, you’re looking for false hope. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW UNTIL YOU GET THE ENVELOPE! And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

What excitedG said. You do have a good chance though so apply!

i posted this like a month ago…why did you bring it back up?
