What exactly are they?
How do you access them?

Because Stanford gets 25,000+ applicants and more importantly reads/considers nearly all of them, they have established a method of making their lives a little bit easier. They give you mailing labels to attach to your envelops for secondary school report form/ midyear evaluation/ teacher recs, which, A. Make sure it gets to the right address because legibility is not an issue and B. More importantly, you declare physically on the mailing label whether you are a regular admission or an early applicant, to aid in their sorting process so they don't have to physically open the envelop to figure out which need to be read quickly and which ones they have more time for.

They can be found on Stanford's undergraduate admissions portion of their website. Because I'm so amazing and wonderful, here's a link. [:

Wait can you send the SSR and teacher recs online through Common App??

Tom- Yes, the teachers/counselor have that option. They can choose to submit it online, or by paper.

Curiously, just how bad would it be if one of my teachers did not use a mailing label? He said he’d take care of it, but I’m pretty sure he didn’t know about the Stanford guidelines, and it’s kinda too late to change it now.

I mean, I don’t think it’ll be one of those make-or-break things…will it?

Thanks! Online is the way to go! =]
And yea, it won’t matter, there is just a slight possibility of it being delayed…but no worries man.

The above link for mailing labels does not work for me.

Below is a link to a page that has a link to their mailing labels at the end of “step 2”:
