Stanford Management Science Job Placement (attend or not?)

I was recently accepted to Stanford Management Science & Engineering Master's Program. There is no financial aid for master's students, so I'm contemplating whether or not it is financially wise to go to this program. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from a top engineering school.

Does anyone know how the job placement is for MS&E graduates (whether it be from Stanford or just any other schools with similar programs)? What kind of jobs are these MS graduates getting? Analyst positions? My logic is that if there is not a big raise in salary, it may not be wise to go. However, I heard it will be beneficially in the long run. I just don't want to graduate, not being to pay off the debt.

Careers I'm considering are business side of tech companies, consulting, and quantitative finance.

Do you have a position lined up if you do not decide for mba?

It’s not an MBA. Stanford’s MS MS&E is pretty much an MS in industrial engineering.

last i checked, placement across the board for financial engineering (or business-oriented engineering programs) have been quite dismal this year.

in my opinion, the problem with stanford MS&E is the competition of its students against GSB, other quantitative majors, and ambitious undergraduates for the few spots in business/finance roles. i’d be very cautious in diving into a program with uncertain placement by the time you graduate. why don’t you ask the program administrator for some placement statistics?
