Stanford Midyear Report

I was not originally planning to apply to Stanford, but now I am. I kind of got into the lazy senior mode and now I regret it. I'll have 3 B's and 3 A's for my first semester.

Does Stanford actually incorporate first semester grades into their decision? It doesn't really make sense. They say the deadline for sending Midyear Report is March 1st, but they release acceptances by April 1st, so how would they actually use the first semester of senior year into my GPA?

My school's first semester actually ends around January 15th. Do they just want to see senior grades to make sure people aren't getting C's and slacking off? I hope my 3 B's wont hurt my chances.

^They definitely won’t help. First semester senior year grades are important. Now how important are they? I don’t know. I won’t pretend to know.

A lot of students probably get their midyear grades in before March 1st. I know mine were reported early February. So they have more than a month for most people to factor it in.
