Stanford Neuroscience, undergraduate level

There isn't a major/minor as far as I can tell, but Stanford has a stellar graduate neuroscience program. As it is such a specific field, maybe it is better to pursue a broader education at the undergrad level.

But what do you all think about an undergraduate education at Stanford for someone interested in neuroscience? And what about taking neuroscience courses through the grad school as an undergrad? feasible/common?

Try psychology and its variations?

That’s great, but do people interested in neuroscience typically go to Stanford?

And… the graduate school question?

Human Biology has a lot of offerings in neuroscience, and you can concentrate in Neuroscience or other variations on the subject
(i know a few people who have/currently are/are planning to)

(side note: Dr. Robert Sapolsky is a world-reknowned neurology and neuroscience expert. some people research with him, etc.)

stanford would probably be a great place for neuroscience because humbio, bio, and psych are all strong departments

a lot of undergrads take grad-level courses in their junior and senior years. most departments willingly allow it. some just have a prereq or 2. sometimes, the course just asks you to get approval from the professor teaching the class.

Stanford has an honors field of study specialty in neurobiology within the biology major.

It also has a neuroscience specialization track within the psychology major.
