Stanford/Northwestern/Columbia/Berkeley

Hi everyone,
I'm an international student hoping to enroll at one of the above universities in Fall 2010. Can you please chance me and I'll chance you right back! :)

I'm doing the IB Diploma:
Predicted Grades
Psychology HL-7
Economics HL-7
French B HL-7
English A1 SL-7
Ecosystems and Societies SL-7
Maths SL-6

IGCSE Grades [these are British examinations that I took in Year 11 [Sophomore Year]]
Double Science- AA
English Literature-A*
English Language A*
Maths-A*
French-A*
Geography-A*
Media Studies-A*
Business Studies A*

However, my SAT 1 score is really low
670 CR
640 Writing
640 Maths
I am taking it again on saturday and will update those scores when I get them!

I am taking Literature & French subject tests in Nov/Dec. Georgetown requires 3 however the admissions officer said they will look at your predicted Ib scores if you don't have a third so I am banking on this. Northwestern also recommends 3- do you think it will severely hurt my chances if I only take 2?

Thank you! :) I appreciate your time and effort.

Miniscule chance, sorry.

My opinion is that you have extraordinary ECs… If you would get your SAT to 2200 I think not one university would be out of your reach  Since you’re British, this shouldn’t be too big of a challenge?

EDIT:
SAT 1 scores changed
CR:700
Math:800
Writing:710
Composite:2210

Does this improve my chances by a lot?

And what kind of SAT 2 scores do I need? I’m taking Lit and French

Did you apply REA for Stanford?

If not…

I dont think the change in the test score really matters. I applied REA and got in with a 2020 as my highest combined SAT scores.
My Subject tests were alright…I really excelled in the sciences which is what I want to study so I think they liked that. So my advice for you is to take SATII’s in subjects that are in your field of study if possible, if not, take the main ones (math, science and history/or english)

Even so, I think their main focus is on essays! Be really personal in them, especially the roomate one for Stanford.

Your extra-curriculars are great! I think they really look for diversity in your ECs any leadership positions you may have, which I see you have quite a few. Also, recommendations! mine were really great so I think that helped me alot.
