A perfect SAT score “secure” you a spot at Stanford. Also, being a crappy test taker shouldn’t stop you from applying to Stanford, or any other prestigious college for that matter. Don’t allow “chance me” threads to be the deciding factor of whether you should apply or not. We don’t know what we’re talking about when we say that you are a reach student, we are guessing. Leave the deciding up to the admission office. (PERIOD!)

One of the happiest moments of my life

I am so happy right now!!!1005!!!
I couldn’t resist the urge to check the e-mail, but now that its all said and done im glad i did.
I’ve basically been talking with my mom and sisters for the last 3-4 hours now and finally have gotten a chance to post this. I was crying, hugging, and it felt so amazing because i’ve never cried like that before, and yet I was crying for being happy.

just check my chances thread for stats, there were many doubters but i made it in spite of my low sat’s. I’ll post full stats in a few.

Congrats to all who got admitted, and to those rejected/deferred, don’t worry its all in God’s plan for you. I started out this year being rejected from questbridge, as in I wasn’t even a finalist. Then I turned around and applied to scea to stanford a couple of days later and here i am.
