<p>I think it depends what atmosphere you want. My daughter, who I believe can get accepted anywhere she wanted, visited Stanford and chose not to apply. She visited Davidson and loved it along with the other LACs Swat, Williams, Wesleyen, and Haverford. She was accepted to all and has a tough decision between all of those. I think it’s entirely reasonable to love the intimacy of a small LAC over a larger research institution. Believe me, Davidson academics are very tough and grade inflation is not a problem.</p>
