I'm trying to eventually pursue a degree in business but at most of the colleges out there, only economics degrees are available for undergrad. I'm gung-ho and crazy for a business degree but wouldn't be shocked if I somehow switched majors over the course of 4 years.

I live in central Cali. I got into Duke, Columbia, Wharton business school at U Penn, Stanford, U Chicago, Berkeley, UCLA, and UC Davis.

I've narrowed it down to Stanford and Wharton. Any opinions on which I should choose?

The things I'm looking for in schools are a solid name, education( I dunno if I should be more biased towards the economics or business degrees since its only undergrad), and a nice city or area. I live only an hour from Stanford and I think that it has a beautiful campus and I'm also gonna visit Penn this week before Easter Sunday. Should I move up to Northern CA or on the east coast with Penn?

35% of Wharton students go back to get MBAs. Ignoring the fact that a good number get JDs, this tells you that with a Wharton degree you don't need to go back for an MBA in many fields. If you do choose to go back for an MBA, I hear that the Wharton classes help you get out of some intro requirements.

Also, at Penn almost half of your classes are liberal arts classes at CAS and you can get a second degree from CAS in econ (or any other subject) if you wish to do so. You can also forgo the second degree and take any upper level econ class that interests you.

I say go to Wharton. But that's really because I'm going to Penn next year, and I got rejected from Stanford. And Wharton is amazing for business.

ughhh i am so jealous of your selection. if you are as smart as those schools think you are, then you will go to wharton. it is almost impossible to get into that school without connections. once you are in then you go straight to upper management of forbes 500 companies.

This stat is fairly meaningless if you don't also post this stat for other top undergraduate business programs. I know lots of people from many different schools that don't go back for their MBA....SO?
