I’m going to Stanford’s Admit reception for early admitted students. For those of you who’ve been to one before, what’s the dress code? Just don’t wanna show up under or over-dressed.

It will depend on where your reception is held…in a country club, in an alumni’s home, east coast or west coast, large metro city (New York, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong) or affluent suburb, etc…usually, they are pretty laid back when it comes to dress code out here in the Bay Area and California…
…and most reception announcements should mention something about dress code (casual or otherwise)…if not, just call or email the reception coordinator…and, no, you won’t be bothering them with this question…since you are IN 
@gravitas2 Thank you! I might end up emailing the host. Mines is in Virginia at an alumni’s home. What’s your take on that?
