Personal issue -
My parents got divorced when i was 8 years old, and ever since then I have had to change schools and states every 6 months. So i have moved around A LOT during highschool and it was fine freshman year, but sophomore year it was not. For the first semester of sophomore year i went to a block schedule school, and the second semester i went to a 6 period school. Since i moved halfway through the year, i was forced to take only semester non - academic classes

EC's:

* Started a website that makes $15k+ profit annually

Hooks: URM - hispanic

Also can you chance me for uc berkeley, ucla, and usc. My uc gpa is 4.27.

lol you made a new account

Yeah because no one, including you, was being helpful on my other account.

Berkeley: high matcg

2/10 stats too perfect

URM + perfect test scores = really good chance

Hey CallMeKing,

Love the fact that you have CS stuff you want to do and are from the Pac NW (majored in engineering before grad school myself and am from WA state originally). I used to be on the admissions committee at a non-Stanford school but also had friends on the admissions committee at Stanford so know a lot about what they look for.

Definitely explain the moving thing every 6 months in your addendum. RE: chances, your numbers are more than good enough, but almost everyone applying to Stanford has numbers good enough. It’s really going to come down to how you portray your passion and how you portray yourself in the supplemental essays. Unlike Harvard, Yale and Princeton, Stanford supplementals make or break.

If you have any other questions, feel free to bounce them off me.

Thank you for replying @Strad199.
Really gives me hope for getting into my dream school Stanford. I will definitely take your advice and perfect my essays before the due date. Again, thanks for commenting.

*you’re… ooh kill em

Just work on those essays and you may have some shot. Your scores are really good…too good and you have a good hook, though I wouldn’t lean on URM completely. Yeah, you have a chance. Just please don’t write an artificial essay. That could kill your app. Best of luck.

Quick question, how can you be sure you are gonna get a 36 on the ACT. Going from 30 to 36 is no small task

It is against the Terms of Service to open another account. Closing this thread and banning CallMeKing. He can continue to post under austin23.
