I applied to Stanford, Caltech and MIT early action this year without realizing Stanford was Restrictive Early Action. I realized the day I submitted the applications and am now moving my Caltech and MIT applications to regular decision. Should I notify Stanford to let them know I’m made this mistake so that they don’t think I’m still violating their rules? Really worried that my Stanford application will be invalidated even though that’s my top choice. Thanks!
I think that would be a good idea. I would contact the admissions office and just explain your mistake, and what you did to correct it. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
I appreciate your response! I ended up emailing the admissions office about the situation to be safe. Hopefully they’ll understand. Thank you!
