Stanford Roommate Essay.. Interesting Idea or Not?

I was thinking for the Stanford Essay prompt:

Virtually all of Stanford's undergraduates live on campus. Write a note to your future roommate that reveals something about you or that will help your roommate—and us—know you better. (2000 characters)

I would do a series of tweets directed at my "roommate" or just in general to convey the person I am.

Do you feel this would be appropriate for an "essay" of this magnitude? I'm unsure whether this would be considered too informal for the purposes.

Thanks in advance!

Creativity is key. If you portray yourself in the best light possible while indulging in your creative side, you should be able to create and essay that Stanford appreciates. For this essay, they just want to know you as a person.
I advise you to make it informal because the prompt is about writing to a future roommate. You wouldn’t speak properly to someone your age would you? Plus Stanford wants to be able to imagine you as a person and not just an application.
