<p>Depends where else you're applying EA. Under the SCEA</a> policy you are allowed to apply to public schools EA. As for private schools, the payoff is decent (a better chance at two schools) but the risk (both schools would reject your application if they find out) is high. It's difficult to say how likely it is they would find out. As a more practical consideration, your counselor signs the statement that you're only applying SCEA to Stanford, and they probably wouldn't agree to sending in forms for two schools if it breaks the rules.</p>
