Stanford - Should I apply?

With a 31 ACT, do I have a chance at Stanford

I have 3.9 GPA and have taken a rigourous academic load (honors and AP) while participating in sports, leadership, community service, etc.

No, you shouldn’t. Stanford is reserved for the elites. 32+ ACT and 3.91 GPA are essential requirements for admission. Sorry.

Seriously though, no one can answer you, because with the information you’ve given, you just look like every other applicant to Stanford.

So, give me a little more data on which to base my already astronomically uninformed estimation of your chances at a highly selective private research university that accepts only the top applicants from all over the world.

if i remember correctly, stanford puts a lot of weight on sports, so if you have some sort of varsity sport you’d have a running chance. your act is a little low, tbh, but test scores these days are terrible indicators n__n and leadership/community service is always great so you should def apply, you never know.

Here are a few more details to determine if I am well rounded and motivated to make an impact…

Yes, I have played Varsity Lacrosse each year for my high school, which competes at the most competitive level against the State’s largest and top teams. Our Team has finished in the top 10 for 5A each year. As a Junior this year, I made the 2nd All Conference Team and received the academic All American Award. I have played year round lacrosse the last 4 years competing in East and West Coast tournaments and currently have several top liberal arts colleges trying to recruit me. I plan to play for a top academic school at the club level (large D1 colleges) or Varsity NCAA level (Div 3). Thanks for your additional input and suggestions!

Yeah, you should apply to Stanford. I hope you get in.

Does playing Club lacrosse at a top school, such Stanford/Notre Dame/Duke/etc help you?

Nothing in your application suggests that you will certainly be rejected, but your chances are similar to those of almost all other applicants, which is low.

Bubbles For SALE, Where can I get in? Thanks!
