Stanford Student on why Berkeley is Better

<a href="http://daily.stanford.edu/tempo?page=content&id=15400&repository=0001_article%5B/url%5D">http://daily.stanford.edu/tempo?page=content&id=15400&repository=0001_article</a></p>

Article's a bit old, but still a classic. Should be required reading for all incoming freshman.

you didn't read the last paragraph then.

* You’re right. We haven’t, and we won’t. We’re walking ironies. In fact, we can’t wait to stay here another year. As much as this place pales in comparison to Berkeley, we’d still rather be here than there. It’s kind of like belonging to a country club. You recognize that you’re an undeserving privileged youngster and that everyone else is probably a hell of a lot more genuine and interesting than you, but ****, your membership was by invitation only. Suck on that.

In all seriousness, Berkeley is better than some things than Stanford, and vice versa. For example, Berkeley is clearer better than Stanford in a number of graduate programs.

It's a good little article. They're not talking education. A lot of Stanford students begin to get used to their paradise, and forget how crappy 90% of the world is. So they're in for a shock if they ever leave that paradise. Berkeley students are at least exposed daily to some of the hard truths of this country, which is actually a pretty great country. This is nothing compared to some of the things I've seen overseas. But at least we have that exposure.

Wow, that was a very superficial article...
Anyway, I think it's stupid to say one is better than the other, they are both very great schools.

I'd rather go to stanfurd.

you know.. i havent heard a berkeley student say anything bad about stanford yet, if i dont count the orientation presentations. the majority of people could care less. its just the selected few ppl who make the big fuss and make it seem like everyone at berkeley is like this

couldn't care less not could care less...
sorry i always have to correct that.

both are used so often that no one really cares anymore if it's could or couldn't.

it's a stupid sounding cliche anyway.

I prefer "I don't give a shiat"
