Stanford says on their website that they required prospective students to submit scores from all test dates of the SAT or ACT. I will likely be submitting the ACT with Writing (I live in the Midwest), which I have only taken once. But, I have taken the ACT without writing a few other times (once was required by the school and I didn't do so well, another was at the start of junior year to gauge my score range). My question is this: Will Stanford want me to submit the scores of the times I took the ACT without writing for consideration as well as the ACT with writing?

My understanding of their policy was yes. It resulted in me sending a couple of sat II scores that I wasn’t exactly proud of, but it’s better to be safe than sorry! I was somewhat confused about it too though so don’t take my word for it.

Their site says (as of right now): “SAT Subject Tests are recommended but not required. Applicants who do not take SAT Subject Tests will not be at a disadvantage. Because SAT Subject Tests are optional, applicants may use Score Choice to selectively send their SAT Subject Test scores.”

Do you think sending in 3 or 4 (I want to retake the writing) ACT scores will be viewed negatively? One of them was given to all juniors during the school day and was required.

Oh well shoot. I believe you are required to send all act and sat (1) scores. You could call admissions and explain your situation to confirm that though
