Stanford Transfer Applicants 2009

I doubt they’ll release decisions before they want to. I will say though that in 2007, the SUnet thing started working for the admitted student on June 9 and decisions were released May 15 in the evening. Nobody tried it last year when decisions were released May 12.

is that what you did cubbies? does your thing work when you ONLY put in your id and not the provide more info?

He acknowledged that it didn’t work for him when putting in his Stanford App ID, only when using “provide other identification.”

liontreelion…we shouldn’t get too happy, cause this could be inaccurate…however, i can’t help but feel a bit more hopeful, what do you think??

Yea, we can’t scream at the top of our lungs just yet. We might be waitlisted instead who knows? I really really hope it means we’re in though! The 2007 thread is a strong indicator that the theory works:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/311063-stanford-2007-transfer-thread-12.html

In particular, read the posts of mlpql_m.

yeah i think it should work.

the second option (bottom) is essentially asking for an SUNet ID… and anyone can ask for it, but mine didn’t work when i typed in the acutal ID number… I mean let’s see. Instead of wasting our time, we should just wait.

after reading the 2007 thread, seems like this method works, but its hard to tell when it happened to only one or two people - (couldve been a coincidence) - but most likely not.

but yeah, don’t get ur hopes up too high… because then u set urself up for a bigger low.

it would be kind of funny if it didn’t work and meant nothing.

Exactly the reason why I refuse to check.

oh liontree, u spend your days wasting away watching youtube videos… tsk tsk :PPP I love screenshots to see what ppl have open… its funny to see sometimes XXXLADIES! or something. too bad nothing incriminating :D

jgee…does your SUnet work??

nope… but i dont think i got in… like app period time i didnt think i got in. I mispelled heathen, and I was pretty cynical in my essays (i even slightly jabbed at a kids religious rhyme)

i just wanna see how happy ppl are when they do get accepted. those lucky 23!

if i do watch porn or something, I’ll be sure to close that window before I take the screenshot ;)

From now on, could people post a screenshot of their screen once their Stanford ID is recognized?

So just to clarify, only loveyouu and me have been able to get the recognized message and have our full names show up on the third page? Any others? Please post a screenshot, and remember, this method can work only if you use your Stanford ID only, not “provide other identification.”

Does anyone think they’re getting in? I KNOW I’m not.

that thing didnt work for me. so it only dampened my hope even more. didn’t really think i had much of a chance in the first place. i mean, no one really does (2%). But still, i am holding out hope. not over until its over

ok…so the ID checking thing worked for me (my full name popped up) but what the heck does that mean?

People have been saying that it means you’ve been accepted…

This theory worked for last year but I don’t know if I can trust it. Don’t want to get my hopes up but if i can move from Dartmouth (6%) to Columbia (4%) to Stanford (2%)…I think i’ll explode…

It’s best we just wait until Friday  Meanwhile, check your PM.
