I want to study international affairs. All of these are top ranked schools in this area (and in general) and I've gotten in with good financial aid from all three. I've visited all three in some way--Stanford a campus tour and a lot of time spent in Palo Alto, SF, and San Jose; UChicago, a weekend on campus in the dorms and two days in the city; Georgetown, a week in the Georgetown area of DC and an afternoon wandering campus informally (they were on spring break when I was there). I liked them all, for different reasons. Stanford would be cheapest for my family and Georgetown most expensive, but none are too costly and all are loan-free.

I'm from Seattle, and I want to get away, but all three are sufficient for that. I have food allergies, but all three seem to have available food options for me in their dining halls. I want to be surrounded by intelligent people, have opportunities open to me after graduating, and be able to study abroad. All three are clear choices for that.

Stanford for sure. I think Georgetown may be best for international affairs if it’s the SFS, but if it’s more expensive Stanford offers extensive networking to all the world.

Stanford or Chicago - but if Stanford is the cheapest I would find it hard to make a case for Chicago as much as I love the campus and the city as Stanford has an equally wonderful campus and proximity to a great city. Georgetown is not in my equation inferior academically and most $.

Stanford, mate. Awesome campus, great weather, the cheapest (for you) and the prestige. God, I’d love to be in your position… I would’ve committed to Stanford in a heartbeat in your shoes.

Another one here for Stanford. Unless you are really determined to live in a big city (sounds like you’re not) then Stanford really does have it all. Good luck!

If you are very interested in international affairs and want to study across the sea, G-town (I’m assuming you got into the SFS, because if you didn’t then ignore this and go to Stanford) is the best because of its location and the SFS is the premiere school for international relations in the world. It is specialized for a career in international affairs, the professors (Madeline Albright, etc.) are amazing and incredibly prestigious, and getting internships and such can be done during the school year as well as summer due to its fantastic location.
