I have visited Stanford, been to Harvard for summer school, and been to MIT to visit a friend. I would go with Stanford because it has a much nicer campus and it’s also more well rounded than MIT in term of academics and athletics. MIT doesnt have division 1 sports and Harvard’s division 1 sports is lame. So, go with Stanford. People may argue that Harvard is more well known in this world than Stanford and MIT. Guess, what…Stanford is as well known as Harvard. At least that’s the case in my country. No one will say that you’re less smart just because you go to Stanford instead of Harvard.

At MIT, one can get credit for courses by taking the "Advanced Standing Examination"s. Does Stanford have anything equivalent?

I’m tempted to say MIT, because for me, it is the number one school for tech and engineering. But the OP was asking for biology in which Stanford is rated number one. Then Harvard joined into the mix, which makes this case more complicated. I’d choose Harvard because it is Harvard.

^Well, this thread is three years old, but for biology, Harvard, Stanford, and MIT are completely equivalent in terms of quality – they have probably the three top programs in the world.
