<p>That’s exactly why my essays emphasize different parts of me. My common app essay is the failure prompt, and takes a sort of unique twist on it that emphasizes my more “human” side, people who have read it have called it authentic, heartwarming and that I come across as a really nice and genuine person. The letter to a roommate essay is less formal, and talks about my tendency to ramble while certainly being lighthearted. There’s an aspect of humor and well roundedness in all of my essays. I talk about sailing in one, philosophy in another, and tried to take a unique approach to the short responses.</p>
