<p>If someone goes to Stanford, they still shouldn’t count on getting into Stanford med. Consider the fact that its medical school class is extremely small (~80 med students) when many other medical schools usually have a class between 100-200 students (Harvard, Penn, etc.). Factor in that Stanford has a pretty sizable MD/PhD program for a class that size and that probably every Stanford pre-med will apply to the medical school, the adcoms can afford to be very picky. However, I’ve heard Stanford students make up a very large portion of UCSF’s class.</p>
