I have just been accepted to both Stanford and Princeton and i am confused about which one i want to go to.

to give a bit of background so that you know what i am interested in, i want to study psychology. ive heard it is better at stanford, but i dont think the program is that bad at princeton either. also i am looking for a uni experience which is intensive and interesting, where i can also have a good time. i am NOT a party person at all, but i like to hang out, go to the movies, shop etc. i dont want to be in an urban area either - i prefer a contained/conservative campus. the most important thing tho, is academics - i want to go where the psych program is best.

so should i go to princeton or stanford, and why???

I can’t really help you as it is not my field… but two observations

“Stanford Prision Experiment” – Stanford has been doing cutting edge psych research for at least 40 years

Stanford Hospital: There is a ton of interaction between psychology and psychiatry. Stanford Hospital Dept. of Psychiatry would make this type of research really easy -

You can’t really go wrong with either one. Follow your heart.

I changed my mind two or three times my freshman year about my prospective major, so be careful about putting too much weight on the reputation of a single department.

But Stanford and Princeton are comparable schools. You can have a good time at either one. They’re both located in upscale suburban environments. You really can’t go wrong either way.

Think about where you want to live vs major. Both are great. Do you want to live in Palo Alto or Princeton? Obviously visit and go with your “gut-feel” if you can.
