So I have to decide between Stanford and the Robertson Scholarship at UNC. I feel incredibly blessed to be in this position but that doesn't make the decision any easier. For those that are not familiar with it, the Robertson is a full ride with joint enrollment at UNC and Duke and summer travel and other perks included. It is difficult for me to get a grip on comparing them because the things that make them incredible are very different. While Stanford has exactly the programs I want (Atm/Energy Engineering or Earth Systems), money may be a bit of an issue. Is there anyone out there who has made a similar decision? I would greatly appreciate anyone's thoughts

Go to Parents Forum and search on Curmudgeon. His daughter decided between Yale (among others) and a full ride at Rhodes in Memphis...that also seems to have included some research and other opportunities. She took the full ride at Rhodes. There don't seem to be any regrets.

She was just named a Goldwater Scholar (national award) in her sophomore year...
