<p>Can anyone that goes to Stanford shed some light on the classes you take to fulfill this requirement? Is it alot of reading? What do you have to do for the oral?</p>

<p>You can petition to change your PWR assignment. Basically, the Writing requirement is as follows: you have to take one quarter your freshman year (PWR 1), one quarter your sophomore year (PWR 2), and a course within your major. If you take SLE, you knock off the PWR 1 requirement, as well as IHUM and a GER, I believe.</p>
