<p>I wonder if they are giving out more scholarship money and/or are they just getting more students who might have chosen HYPM?</p>
<p>I think the yield can also be managed by the Early Action emphasis. Don’t know if that is the case here. It is true (I have read) that stanford tries to be competitive with financial aid with Princeton, Harvard and Yale. Since Princeton started this aid bandwagon, and Harvard quickly followed, I am assuming that yield data from 2 years ago, and maybe even last year, reflects slightly better aid packages at HYP v. Stanford at that time, but no longer.</p>
