I applied to Stanford but did not get any e mail acknowledging the receiving of my app...I selected "Other Fee Waiver" and sent a counsellor letter to them...What seems to be the problem???

Not a good sign! Most applicant receive confirmation just a few days after submitting the application.

I’d head over to http://axess.stanford.edu/ and click “Check Application Status”. It’ll request your e-mail address from your application then send you the status of your application. If everything but the payment has been received, this should let you know.

In the meantime, search your email for “Stanford” to ensure you didn’t miss the message.

May want to add admission@stanford.edu and credentials@stanford.edu to ensure the mail isn’t being eaten by a spam filter (unlikely).

Anyways. If all else fails. E-mail them. In your question, include your name, date of birth, and name of high school (so they can locate your app). They are typically pretty prompt with their responses (1-3 days). There’s a chance your application just hasn’t been sorted, but who knows!

Thanks for the reply…I checked that email thingy and they said my email is not in their database :S Should I call them up or wait for a couple of more days??

And if my fee waiver request is not accepted, they do tell me that I have to pay the fee…right??
