Stanford?

Hello lovely people! :)

I'm currently a [stressed] sophomore in high school, I REALLY want to be a doctor and want to at least try to get into Stanford :) So, assuming that I get all A's and 5's on AP's from now on and a 2300+ on the SAT Reasoning Exam (I KNOW it's a lot to assume, but this is just theoretical), what chance do I have of getting into Stanford, or any other good pre-med college?

*****School (Grades, classes, etc)

9th grade (blast from the past…not really):
AP US History: A ~I received a 4 on the AP Exam :(
French III: A
Pre-Calculus: A
English 10 Honors: A
Chemistry Honors: A
Symphonic Band: A

10th grade (this year):
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science
Human Anatomy and Physiology
French IV
AP English Language
AP Calculus AB
Symphonic Band

Summer after:
*I'm self-studying for AP Computer Science (taking the test in May 2013)
*I'm also self-studying for AP French (taking the test in May 2013)

11th grade (next year):
AP Physics B
AP Calculus BC
AP Statistics
AP English Literature
AP Economics
French V
Wind Ensemble (by audition)

Summer after:
*I'm self-studying for AP Physics C (taking the test in May 2014)

12th grade (wow, it's creeping up...):
AP Chemistry
AP U.S. Government
AP European History
AP Psychology
AP Music Theory
Writing 122 (college class)
Wind Ensemble

Theoretically, my GPA will be:
4.0 un-weighted
4.5 weighted (because of AP's)

I plan on taking the following SAT Subject Tests
Math I (I don’t know if I should…)
Math II
Biology
Physics
Chemistry
Literature
French
French with Listening

*****Extracurricular Activities
No more theories. These, I’ve actually done! Sadly, there aren’t too many :)

Speech and Debate
-Varsity last year (most likely this year, as well)
-Second Place at State in Prose
*There are many other tournaments that I’ve placed at, but do they count?
…….I am preparing for the NFL Nationals :) (NFL = National Forensics League)

Key Club
-I’m just regularly volunteering, so far.
…….I would like to get a board position in the future

Music (I play the flute)
-Auditioned and made it into my city’s youth orchestra
-Secretary of my band at school
-Varsity in band this year, FOR SURE.
-Level 6/6 in flute syllabus (it’s like the piano syllabus, but that goes up to 10. Flute has 6 levels)
…….I plan on doing a LOT more this year (Solo & Ensemble, professional performances)

Medical Stuff
-Took a class on Scientific Inquiry at OHSU
-Worked under the director of OHSU’s Cancer Knight Institute
-I also came up with a research proposal and worked with the same doctor (director of OHSU’s Cancer Knight Institute)
…….I am doing an internship at OHSU this summer; I might even publish a paper
…….I'm going to the Cleveland Clinic (probably for radiology) for an internship once I'm old enough (jumior year!! so excited)

Volunteering
-I am going to be volunteering at a Children’s Center; it is the only one of its kind in the west (working with mentally disabled children)
-So far I’ve only gotten 7 hours because I volunteer here and there… Should I work with a specific organization?

I know I sound annoying/obnoxious but I really want to do whatever I can to prepare for college, preferably Stanford :) or some other college with great/renowned scientific funding.

So much theoretical stuff!! Hopefully, I can live up to these…

QUESTION: Can I get into Stanford?

Thank you so much!! <3 <3 :) :)

Stanford is a super-reach for everyone. Getting maximum or near-maximum academic credentials (4.0 or near-4.0 in the most rigorous courses available, maximum or near-maximum in test scores) merely gives you a non-trivial chance to be admitted. But you still need safety plans.

Don’t bother taking SAT Subject Math Level I if you take Math Level II.

I’d heard about Math I being “negated” by taking the Math II. I guess Math I is too elementary? Thanks

The topics tested by Math Level 2 are a superset of the topics tested by Math Level 1.

[Math 2 - SAT Subject Test Math Level 2 Practice Questions](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>What were SAT Subject Tests? - College Board Blog)

There will only be about 6.0% percent acceptance rate in 3 years for Stanford. No need to stress over it now.

You’re a few weeks into only your 2nd year of friggin HS. If you start fetishizing schools like Stanford at this point, you’ll only diminish your capabilities to be a good HS student. Really you need to relax. Successful applicants to schools like Stanford ARE successful – they just don’t attack a check off list of “things to do”. If you eventually become a viable candidate, it’ll be because of who you are at the time, not what you’ve done.

Just an aside since you mentioned taking math 1 or math 2. For subject tests, if you submit a math, Stanford pefers it to be the math 2.

Yes, I know it’s early but it’s my dream  I guess I’ll drop this subject then…meh
