Stanford?

So I know I don't have the BEST record, but I'm coming up with a list of colleges to apply to this fall, and I want to know which schools I would actually have a chance at.

Freshman year i took
-speech- A
-geometry advanced- a
-advanced english-a
-religion-a
-biology-a
-latin 1-a

Sophomore year:
-art 1-2- A
-ap world- a
-algebra 2/trig honors- a
-chemistry- a
-scripture- a
-latin 2- a
-english 2 honors- a

Junior year:
-ap chem- a
-ap us history-a
-english 3 honors-a
-pre-calculus honors- a
-religion-a
-latin 3-a

I go to a college prep catholic school, and so far i have an unweighted 4.0. I'm planning on taking ap gov, ap macroecon, ap calc bc, ap latin, honors asian studies, ap english lit, and religion next year. i'm also taking physics at a community college this summer.

I got a 2090 on the SAT; 2100 if you superscore it (750 writing, 700 cr, 650 math)
30 on the ACT
ranking: top 3%
ECs:
-yearbook (i'll be editor in chief next year)
-campus ministry (kind of like a religious asb)
-nhs
-csf
-volunteering
-i'm working next year
-president of asian club
-piano

I also have some art published in the school's literary magazine and I was the only sophomore to receive a literary achievement award last year, if that makes any difference.

Some of my reach schools are:
Stanford
Berkeley
UCLA
Dartmouth

I'm pretty sure i have low chances at getting into these schools, but I'm really hoping that my personal statement really allows my passion and determination to shine through.

What are my chances at getting into any of these schools, and what schools do you suggest would be good matches? Should I retake the SAT?

Just from reading other people’s stories and seeing my friends you have so-so chances at Cal and UCLA, but only if you live in California. A high reach at Dartmouth, and an extremely high reach at Stanford. The two ivy (edit JK, stanford is not ivy but you get the point) schools are a lot more competitive and let a smaller percent in than the UCs.

Retake the SAT or ACT. Get at least 2100 or 32. Also try some ECs that build a good character. It seems that publishing/literature could be a good thing for you. Pursue it by submitting essays and other works to contests, magazines, newspapers. Start a book club or a totally new school publication (on top of the yearbook).

I would say it’s a big reach. On the plus side, you have a 4.0, which is great, and a good school most likely. However, you don’t have a whole lot of ECs or anything going on, that makes you look more generic. The test scores could be better, maybe retake them. You do have a good course rigor; if you were to be accepted, it would be on some kind of like 4.0/2300+ basis; looking smart, haha. That’s just how I see it, though.

thanks! do you have any ideas what kind of schools would be matches for me?
