Yes
You have the necessary test scores, but personally I think you need more (extracurricular awards leadership) to even be considered even further
GPA and class rank?
I have no idea. You have the academic qualifications to be competitive, but that only goes a small part of the way to getting in, especially at Stanford. You don’t present any idea of who you are as a person, and what you do outside of academics.
You have a chance. Whether your chance is 1% or 40% will depend on the strength of your ECs and admissions essays. What are your ECs?
Stanford has it’s pick of academically strong students like yourself. Without a clear idea of what EC’s you’ve taken part in or what your interests and passions are it’s very hard to say what your chances are. Was the summer research ground breaking or cleaning test tubes? You are in the ballpark academically. There’s a book written by a former Stanford admissions officer called “The Best Book on Elite Admissions Uncovered.” It’s available on Amazon for $7.99 and in the back of the Kindle version she posts links to 5 videos showing how Stanford might review 5 different applicants. I think this might give you some idea of what your chances at Stanford are
Why Stanford?
There are other colleges.
Like everyone else said, with ONLY these scores, it’s going to be a definite stretch. If you have EC’s that you just didn’t post, it will greatly impact your chances.
Thanks for the feedback I just chose Stanford because it is arguably the hardest college to get into, so the feedback would help with all other colleges. I am by no means focused on just Stanford. Also I didn’t list my ecs but I have some.
So you don’t know anything about the university except that its hard to get into?
Hoover Tower? Leland? the Time Capsules.
No competing sports?
Chance? Not with that SAT.
Give us GPA and EC’s it will help us chance you more accurately
aunt bea,
Did i ever say I don’t know anything about Stanford I don’t understand why you are being so critical.
Their essay two years ago asked: “why Stanford?”
If you can’t answer that, without becoming upset, Stanford is not for you.
you’re in good standing

Like another user said, why stanford? Just because it’s the hardest school to get into doesn’t mean it’s the best fit. In fact, that should ideally deter you from the school unless you know why you’d want to go to it.
The reason I am interested in Stanford is the connection it has to Silicon Valley. For many years now I have been obsessed with technology in a school where no one else shares the same interest. At the college I go to I want the environment to be reflective of my interest. I have interned at technology companies numerous times and i love their environments(further supporting my interest in technology schools). Also I am not solely focused on Stanford. Colleges like Harvard, MIT, Caltec, Berkeley, UCLA, and Chicage peak my interest as well. I don’t like an extremely stressful work environment so Chicago and Caltec might not be for me. Anyways thanks for the feedback everyone. I am nervous about my ECs i only have mock trial, swim team, start up work, University research, and some robotics(club too small to advance).
Silicon Valley hires qualified people from lots and lots of different schools.
The most important thing you will do in this process is to identify some “target” and “safety” schools that would also satisfy you.
Your SAT is just about average at Stanford, so you are likely over the “test score” hurdle.
But Stanford seems to be pretty holistic – you need to show your passion, your personality, and how you can use those things to make Stanford a better place.
