does stanford give more weight to high school work or ur college work?

this is my stats:
sat 1: 1880
sat 2 us history: 780
hs gpa: 3.7
5 ap's : three 5's, two 3's

expected college gpa: 3.75 or 4.0

major: art history or history

i know that admission rate to stanford is really tiny, especially if ur sat isn' t that high. but, i figured that i have demonstrated that i am " passionate" about learning. so, with a brilliant essay of how passionate i am, what are my chances?

well, a 3.75 or 4.0 is definitely solid, however a student going to a competitve school trying to transfer with somewhat lower gpa may be valued higher....and a student with the same gpa would most def be viewed higher, howeever that is just on the grounds of gpa. admissions is a wholistic process, so that alone would not probably do you in. you always have a chance.

...I am applying to Stanford from Cal with a 3.87 and I still have an incredilby slim chance, so I wouldn't bank on admission to stanford, i know im not

hey, its all good, undergraudate is way overrated, you can do well wherever you are. Its all about how well you do now, the past is past. It is far more importnat what you do in college than where you go, remember that.

use that regret to work harder now, thats what im doing
