<p>Stanford says that they strongly recommend taking 2 SAT subject tests (which pretty much means they require it) but I've already taken AP Chem and AP Calc and got 5s on both. Do you think it's really necessary to take the Chem and Math II subject tests? especially chem since it's pretty much the exact same thing as the ap exam.</p>

<p>Also regarding the SCEA deadline, on Stanford's website it says Nov1 is a postmark deadline. does this include letters of recommendation? in other words what's the latest I can send my letters of recommendation?</p>

<p>I would sit for SAT IIs. There are a lot of kids with 5s on many APs, also with many SAT IIs. Most schools will allow your school to send in recommendation letters/transcripts after the deadline, but SCEA/ED may be a little bit different. I would check with Stanford. My daughter missed the art supplement deadline last year, they wouldn’t accept it.</p>
