Hey!

Has anyone applied to Stanford for the Class of 2014?

Post your stats and whether you got accepted/deferred (if SCEA)!

I've applied for RD.

I tried to search this forum, but I haven't found anyone yet who is applying to Stanford for the '14 class.

Reply! :)

Thanks!

I’ve applied for RD.

Totally gonna get rejected though. :)

Good luck!

Good Luck to you too!

Haha. Well, I have abysmal stats actually. I suck at verbal.

SAT Reasoning: 1970 (M:760,W:630,CR:580 (kaboom!))
SAT Subject Tests: 2390 (M1:790,M2:800,P:800)
TOEFL iBT: 106 (Haha, I suck!)

I’ve applied to Stanford, U-M, UIUC, GaTech, & Purdue. :)

What are your stats? :)

Lol my math sucks - 550, lower than your verbal. It’ll kill me for sure. I’ve got 800 on CR, W and Lit and I’m taking USH and Bio in Jan but Stanford doesn’t consider Jan scores so I guess they don’t count.

I’ve applied to a looot of schools. Amherst is my first choice. :)

Where are you from, btw?

Wow! A composite 2150 is great!

I’m from Ahmedabad. My school was neither international nor CBSE/ICSE. It was State Board!(■■■!) I have a major drawback actually. My school doesn’t/didn’t offer any AP/IB courses! I’m the 2nd one from my school (state actually!) to apply to Stanford! <smug> :P</smug>

Last year, one guy called Suril (he was from our school) went to Stanford (class of 2013)! Gives me hope! :)

Oh, ours doesn’t offer AP/IB either. I’ve always wanted AP classes, but…oh well.

Haha we’ve probably had lots of Stanford applicants from my school, I don’t know. Congratulations, though. Haha.

Suril as in the computer dude Suril?

Btw, Stanford does accept Jan scores! :)

Here is the reply of an e-mail I sent to their undergrad admissions office:

Dear Smit,

Thank you for your interest in Stanford University. January 1 is the application deadline for freshman admission and we do require that all standardized testing be completed prior to this deadline. While we will consider scores from tests taken after this date, there is no guarantee that scores from the January SAT will reach us in time to be considered with your application. However, the SAT Subject Tests are not required for admission.

Sincerely,

Kate Shreve

Admission Counselor

Office of Undergraduate Admission

:)

Ooooh. Wow. That’s awesome, thanks. :)

Yes! Suril Shah (computer geek) :D

Haha, he’s my counselor! :)

*** I thought they require subject tests and reasoning and that they do not accept January. *** I ***ing trusted you Stanford. How dare you lie to me? >.< I rather apply to Stanford rather than RPI which I’ve never even heard of.

So just apply. Their deadline’s been extended to the 3rd. Do it today!

Not enough time. Only 20 hours remaining. Any essays? And I have school tmr man.

Btw, are you applying for financial aid?

And supplements? There might be essays as well. I don’t think I would make it =O

@MrPropapanda.

Haha, well that’s the reason I spent a gap year :)

I’m not a man, propdude. You stalk enough to have figured that out. :P

smits, I am, actually. Yeah, basically I’m NOT going to Stanford.

650 - 760 93%
SAT Math: 680 - 780 93%
SAT Writing: 670 - 760

Nope I don’t think I would even qualify.

Quasi, are you applying for aid? :|

I answered that already. ^^^ :)

I’m far under the CR range, and I’m just average in the M part (sigh), and just 50 points under W.
