This scholarship is mentioned in Carleton's website to be for Asian students. Does this mean this covers the whole of Asia, including the countries like Nepal, or does this include only the "ASIA" that many collegess label to countries such as china, vietnam, laos, thailand, philippines, etc. on the eastern sidE??

i would think that it Asia as a whole...unless it mentioned East Asia...

yah...i am also thinking the same...but i saw in Wesleyan's site. They had mentioned scholarship for asian students but inside they mentioned that it was for selected asian countries..i am worring if it's the same with carleton!

I'd recommend calling the admissions office. I'm sure they'd be glad to answer your questions.

Asians from Nepal, India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Burma are all countries that have been recently or are currently represented by Starr scholars at Carleton. But be forewarned, the competition is extremely fierce. They get over a thousand applications for just a few spots as it is one of the best international student scholarships out there. (in terms of money)

thanks everyone for your replies...i am pretty much cleared now
